Current upstream versions:

firewalld:     2.2.2
(lib)nftables: 1.1.1
libnftnl:      1.2.8

If you're having a problem with Debian packages, you should report it there:
https://www.debian.org/Bugs/

The people maintaining the upstream project are usually not also maintaining
the distribution packages. Even if I knew what went wrong on your system and
how to fix it, I could not push a fix since I don't have access to Debian's
package source.

You will probably face the same reply with firewalld on Github.
