I built and installed libnfnetlink ( gets installed to a non-standard 
location: /usr/local/lib) ; but I can't build this even if I copy 
the libs to /usr/lib .

I pulled these packages using git today.


You really need README file included in the distro  for this step and
for the examples found in example and utils directories.
