My setup is as follows sip<->nat(iptables:ip_nat_sip,ip_conntrack_sip)<-
>asterisk. What I would like to see happen is that my sip users on outside my
nat should be able to register with my asterisk box which is on my lan .My
setup on iptables is that any packets arriving at port 5060 should be
forwarded to my asterisk box.
Yes , I can register my sip client from the internet to my asterisk box the
problem begins when I make calls , I only get one way audio i.e. from my
asterisk box to the sip client. My setup on asterisk is that it must handle
both sip and rtp .
When I ran ethereal on the sip client machine outside my nat I noticed that a
sip packet coming from my asterisk box through my nat box , in the sdp section
the OWNER and CONTACT information reffered to my asterisk box (10.0.*) instead
of 196.* which means that my returning rtp packets will go to the ip 10.*
insted of 196.* which leads to one way audio.
