library problems

Hi,

I'm still having problems compiling iptables. It searches for headers that don't exist on my system, like autoconf.h. It searches for these in the kernel sources for kernel 2.4. I have an autoconf.h in a kerberos directory, but I don't want to just copy it over. I'd rather make sure iptables compiles correctly. Additionally, when iptables gives an error during make, it indicates that it can't find the header in the kernel sources. I have just unpacked the kernel sources and haven't deleted anything, so I don't know why it's searching for something that doesn't exist there.
Any help would be appreciated.
