Hello.
Even though I read all the Documentation adn I do think I was able to set my
boxen up properly there is aproblem I have encountered here at home.
I work for a comapny which does backbones and thus I often have gear at home
for testing. I have received the following messages over and over and while I
know what they mean I do not know why I have received them:
Oct 29 12:34:51 silence kernel: SRC=192.168.0.4 DST=192.168.0.99 LEN=76
TOS=0x10 PREC=0x00 TTL=204 ID=62976 PROTO=TCP SPT=22 DPT=1031 SEQ=929130001
ACK=15633288 WINDOW=7504 RES=0x00 ACK PSH URGP=0 Out of window data: SEQ is
under the lower bound (retransmitted already ACKed data)
192.168.0.4 is a Linux 2.4.12-grsecurity1.8.4 Machine. 192.168.0.99 is my
sisters Windows machine.
Between those machines is a Juniper M40 High speed switch with Fibre channel
ATM cards. All devices on this LAN are connected to each other with Fibre. Has
that anything to do with it ?
(yes I know she is trying to log intot he box via ssh). The box itself also
has a few rules to handle SSH, which works just fine from any ofthe other 6
machines in this LAN segment.
Cheers.. Thanks.-
