The best way of doing ip accounting for me is using freebsd by adding count
rules to ipfw, but there also are some utilities that work with linux like
ipac. It worked perfectly with version 2.2 of linux kernel, but I'm not sure
if it'll work with 2.4, cause I don't use linux for ip accounting anymore.
