iptables and smp

have the issues of smp and netfilter locking the machine up been
resolved?  i think i've found another bug.  with the tulip driver, and
smp enabled, the network times out about once an hour, but with single
processor, the timeouts stop.  i can paste the error as soon as i get a
smp kernel built again.
