How to close ipchain and open iptable in redhat7.1?

To turn off ipchains:

<service ipchains stop>
<chkconfig --level 345 ipchains off> #turns it off at boot time

to turn on iptables:

<service iptables start>
<chkconfig --level 345 iptables on> #turns it on at boot time

The default config file in 7.1 is in /etc/sysconfig/iptables . If your not
using that, instead calling your own rc.firewall or something then there
is no need to use the iptables init script, just turn off ipchains and
throw a link to your script in rc.local or something.
