How to close ipchain and open iptable in redhat7.1?

I remember somebody asked this question before but I can not find it in
archive. I use iptables 1.2.1a and linux kernel 2.4.2 under redhat7.1. How
to close it's ipchain setup and change to iptables?Thanks.
