Just wanted to say that the iptables tutorial has been updated. It now
contains better improved pictures, the DMZ firewall example script which
requires IP aliasing as of now, might be changed in the future, but highly
doubted.
Also, the tutorial has been changed to DocBook format, thanks to Fabrice
Marie, and will be available in pdf and ps versions in a not to long future.
Biggest news is in other words the DMZ section as of now. Still need someone
to actually report success of using the DMZ script though, so if anyone has
anything like this set up at home or in some experimental network, please try
this script out and see if it will work.
- From what I've seen of the documentation on ip aliasing in linux, it is
lacking quite a bit, and I might do some work on that in the future, ie add a
few sections about it or a totally new tutorial if need be(how hard and much
documentation could it require?).
Anyways, hope someone will send me a confirmation that this actually works.
