ipfilter modules

  Hello.

I am trying to use ipfilters on my AlphaLinux box (AlphaStation 200 4/233,
kernel 2.3.40, netfilter-0.1.17) but somehow after I compile and install
ipfilters' modules, I get the error when inserting them into kernel:

c209680-a:~$ insmod ip_conntrack
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/ip_conntrack.o: unresolved symbol nf_unregister_hook
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/ip_conntrack.o: unresolved symbol nf_register_hook

This is what happened when I do depmod:

c209680-a:~$ depmod -a
/lib/modules/2.3.40/fs/udf.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/forward-fragment.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/netfilter_dev.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/ip_defrag.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/iptables.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/ip_nat.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/net/ip_conntrack.o: unresolved symbol(s)
/lib/modules/2.3.40/ipv4/ip_gre.o: unresolved symbol(s)

I checked and re-compile the kernel a few times, but it didn't help. May be I
am missing something obvious, but I can't see what it is.
And I don't really know what to do about it. Could you help - point me to the
right direction?

 Thank you in advance,

                                      Arc C.
