0.1.7 success and failure

It seems the problem may have only been time-coincident and not the
cause of netfilter.  Rebooting the Windows machine seems to have
alleviated the symptoms.  As usual, I should have applied the three Rs
of Windows troubleshooting (reboot, reinstall, relocate).
