I'm sorry, I don't have the hardware for setting up a second
box/serial console.
It wouldn't help in this case anyways since the machine just
totally locks without any output. SysRq does work so i can
safely sync the disks, unmount them and reboot. But there is
no Oops / Kernel panic on the screen or anything.
The machine did always crash this way since I use kernel 2.4
- nothing in the logfiles, nothing on the console. So I guess
a serial console really wouldn't help it...
