Summary: poptop (pptpd) will not work if ip_nat_pptp loaded
           Product: netfilter/iptables
           Version: linux-2.6.x
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: RedHat Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: NAT
        AssignedTo: laforge at netfilter.org
        ReportedBy: greg.cowell at celentia.com

I have installed kernel 2.6.17.11 on my Centos 4.3 (RHEL 4) firewall so that I
can use the excellent new PPTP connection tracking functionality. It all works
perfectly unless I try to run Poptop (pptpd) on the same firewall. Running
Poptop on a separate server (still on kernel 2.6.9) behind my Linux firewall
works fine. However Poptop (pptpd) will not work if it is installed on the
Linux firewall (connection attempts fail). If I unload the ip_nat_pptp module
on the firewall, Poptop works fine. I also downloaded and compiled the latest
iptables. The PPTP clients are Windows XP. I'm wondering if Poptop and
ip_nat_pptp are currently incompatible or if I have a configuration issue ?
