Almost a year since last comment on this bug.  

Can you reproduce this with a recent (i.e. 2.6) kernel?  

You say that sometimes it crashes during processing of your firewall script --
it would be helpful to know which line of your script causes the oops.  Are any
of your rules using pom modules?  If so, which ones?
