I cannot reproduce the problem with either iptables-1.2.7a, 1.2.8 or current CVS.

Can you please give a more detailed description?  I correctly receive an error
message:

naboo:/etc/uucp# ip6tables -D OUTPUT -s  2001:300:::/48 -j ACCEPT
ip6tables v1.2.8: host/network `2001:300:::' not found
Try `ip6tables -h' or 'ip6tables --help' for more information.
